Safety and reliability are major concerns in the desing and development of machinery. Stuctural calculations must be carried out precisely to ensure compliance with this principles.

Structural analysis, used for the calculations of stresses and strains, is a fundamental working tool for tracking and resolving problems in machine building and structural mechanics. It is performed by means of modern Finite Elements Method (FEM) in order to verify, already at the design stage, the fulfillments of requirements.

For particularly stressed componetns and structures whose failure could cause serious damage, structural calculations are performed using programmes based on finite elements calculations. This methodology makes it possible to remove any risks by acting on the most stressed sections or, where this is problematic, by proposing alternative solutions.
