During this phase, the designer works closely with the client to understand the client&#8217;s <strong>priorities and requirements, environmental conditions and technical limitations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in this phase, <strong>objectives<\/strong> are set and the <strong>feasibility<\/strong> of the project is defined according to the specifications and cost target defined with the customer. Proper planning at this stage <strong>avoids delays and problems<\/strong> during the later stages of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Once the preliminary design phase has been completed, the designer will be able to describe the <strong>characteristics of the functional groups<\/strong> and identify the <strong>main components<\/strong>, defining their <strong>overall dimensions, specific functions<\/strong> and detailing any <strong>electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical connections<\/strong>. This step is crucial for the definition of the final design and the subsequent project development phase.<\/p>\n<p>The preliminary design phase is a crucial step in the mechanical design of plant and machinery. Proper planning at this stage can avoid delays and problems during subsequent project phases, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability of the machinery or plant.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br
